About Anji Bridge
The oldest open-spandrel segmental arch bridge in the world. Built during the Sui Dynasty by Li Chun. The spandrel arches reduce weight and allow floodwater to pass. Survived 1,400 years of floods, earthquakes, and wars. Still carries pedestrians and light vehicles.
