About Bay Bridge
The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Actually two bridges connected by a tunnel through Yerba Buena Island. The eastern span was replaced after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake caused a section to collapse. The new self-anchored suspension span opened in 2013.
