About Charles Bridge
Lined with 30 baroque statues added in the 17th-18th centuries. Commissioned by Charles IV in 1357 at 5:31 AM on July 9 - precise astrological timing. Egg yolks were mixed into the mortar for strength. Most statues are now replicas. Over 2 million tourists visit annually.
