About Falkirk Wheel
Not a traditional bridge but a rotating boat lift. Connects two canals with a 24 m height difference. Uses only 1.5 kWh per rotation - the same as boiling 8 kettles. The only rotating boat lift in the world. Replaced 11 locks that were dismantled in the 1930s.
